The bride is in a short white wedding dress with sunglasses, holding a white box, also smiling. The background includes a wooden fence, potted plants, a building with a red tile roof, and a blue sky with some clouds.

There’s so much more to this venue than simply having a ceremony and a reception. There are amenities and services available that other venues could only dream of.

4 reasons to get married at Stables

There’s no need to go hunting for a catering team or bar hire. Stables has it’s very own kitchen and catering team as well as your very own private bar from afternoon until evening.

I do love a Guinness, but the ice cream bar is a personal favourite.

It offers the fun yet cosy Ffolkes pub, which has been in the village for over 300 years, as well as the brand new award-winning Ffolkes Spa as well as an abundance of suites and rooms for guests to book into. The site also offers secure parking for all of your guests for free, something that can be overlooked at times.

Preparation suite, sorted

The Hayloft is an absolute game changer! It boasts a pamper area for hair and make-up preparations, private lounge, a rooftop terrace, 4-bed annexe for your wedding party, as well as the biggest and most impressive hot tub i’ve seen!

A wedding ceremony taking place outdoors on a patio, with a bride and groom standing at the altar surrounded by friends and family. The guests are dressed in formal attire, and the setting is decorated with flowers and string lights.

The Courtyard.

The private courtyard at the Stables is absolutely made for natural modern weddings. With it’s natural stone and exposed timber it is perfect for a gorgeous outdoor wedding under the open Norfolk skies.

The area is deviously spacious and easily accommodates up to 120 seated guests via a private entrance. There is plenty of space under cover too with lots of comfortable rattan seating and electric heaters to keep that chill off throughout the evening or chilly winter days.

After the I do’s the ceremony area is absolutely perfect for group photo’s, and above the courtyard is a handy balcony easily accessible for photographers to get different angles of your wedding and perfect for the big group shot.

Fancy mixing it up and having your drinks reception or party outside? There’s plenty of space to pop a DJ booth outside so that you can have your day your way.

The Function Room.

(and Courtyard at night)

Couple dancing and smiling at a celebration, with the man leaning in for a kiss and holding a glass of wine.

If you prefer an indoor wedding, or if the weather turns British on you, then the function room is a great space for an indoor ceremony. This also where weddings will typical hold the speeches, wedding breakfast and evening reception.

The room is essentially open plan and shared by the wedding breakfast service area and bar. The tactful layout of the room means that you don’t have to go too far for a pint and your wedding meal, but you don’t feel as if you’re sat in a carvery station. The bifold doors also open up for easy movement between the courtyard and the function room. It’s honestly so well thought out! I love a Guinness from the bar, but the ice cream station is insane!

The modern colour of the room paired with changeable LED ceiling lighting means this is the perfect space to send in a décor professional or for you to DIY your decor. I have to say, the lighting and brand new disco ball above the DJ area is incredible into the evening.

The courtyard also take on a completely different vibe once darkness hits. It’s almost as if the security of a private space and the darkness creates a relaxing fun haven for shenaningans. And I am absolutely here for it!

 getting glammed in the hayloft

A woman getting her makeup done by a makeup artist in a room with wooden cabinets and a black TV behind them. The seated woman has blonde hair, is wearing a light-colored pajama top, and is sitting with her legs crossed. Makeup supplies are open on a table and in a large makeup case in front of her.

I’ve been to quite a few wedding venue’s and this preparation suite is genuinely incredible. It’s a standout feature of this venue that’s included in your venue package and boasts some superb features. It is the perfect place for getting ready just before your wedding at the Stables.

The room has a pamper area suitable for hair and makeup prep for multiple people as well as it’s own private lounge and private terrace area. It’s set up perfectly for the chilled out wedding party, or you can bang the wireless speakers on and enjoy the private party vibe.

Want your wedding party to join you the night before? Not only is there a bloody massive bed, clearly for whoever is getting ready here, but there is an annexe in the eves of the room perfect for a wedding party staying over. They’ve thought of everything in here.

And I’m keep my lips sealed when it comes to the bathroom, you can experience seeing that hot tub with your own eyes!

Container golf

People playing mini golf at a fun, colorful indoor arcade or entertainment venue.

There are quite a few things going on with the site that the Stables sits on, but one of the unique optional additions that you can make to your wedding package is container golf.

If you haven’t seen this before it’s basically crazy golf inside colourfully decorated containers with an industrial graffiti style. It’s an incredible addition and all of the guests and couples I have had go through here absolutely love it.

At the time of me writing this it is currenty a 9-hole putting course, but it’s already been announced that it will become 18 in the future.

Current prices are:

ÂŁ350 for 1-hour

ÂŁ500 for 2-hours

People playing mini-golf in a colorful indoor course with graffiti-style artwork on the walls and a large white crescent-shaped obstacle.
A woman in a wedding dress smiling and holding accessories, standing in front of a purple backdrop with yellow letters, while two men in suits look on.
A man with a white shirt and blue tie smiling and holding a beer in one hand and raising his other arm inside a brightly decorated space with orange walls and a string of lights overhead, surrounded by people at a celebration.
A wedding game of mini golf being played by a bride in a wedding dress and bouquet, with two other people in casual attire, inside a wooden structure with graffiti-covered walls and a partially open metal roof.

ffolkes spa

OMG! I don’t even know where to start with this. This place is f*cking insane!

I need to say straight out of the gate that this is NOT included in the wedding packages. But it’s well worth me telling you about just in case you want to make it part of your night before or night after.

If you’re looking for an alternative way to relax and unwind then this is it.

The spa has a modern party vibe with Ibiza running through it’s veins. The usual spa features such as multiple steam and sauna rooms with salts and aromas are a mainstay, but with a modern aesthetic rather than a boring traditional aesthetic.

You’ll want to step out of the rooms and want to party, because in the main room is a MASSIVE communal hot tub and lounging area with a waterside bar serving cocktails and other drinks.

At the end of your sauna experience is one room i didn’t expect…a dark room with water beds for napping! I tried it, and now I want to be there every day. I swear they did this on purpose!

Top tip. Go into the toilets. and this time press the big red button. You won’t regret it.
