2023 Wedding season is here

I was so excited for the wedding of Jenny and Oliver at Pentney Abbey in Norfolk, and it was an absolute blast.

Pentney Abbey, Norfolk

Ok, so this was the first wedding of my 2023 wedding season and it was PHENOMENAL. I mean come on. A superbly nerdy couple who love the geek-life and a bit of traditional vibes. It’s Pentney Abbey (enough said). A string quartet playing Star Wars soundtracks. And an incredible mix of friendly people, suppliers and organisers just thrown in the mix. What is not to like.

This was my first time working at Pentney Abbey in Norfolk, but I had already done a venue scout with the couple, liaised with the event planner and done some planning and practice for the night time portraits. On the day everything ran so so smoothly thanks to the impeccable organisation by the staff.

There were so many moments that I loved about this day, I want to share just a couple. Jenny getting so completely beffudled with nerves when she put her wedding dress on. She was so chilled out until the realisation set in that it’s finally her wedding day. I got to share just a sip (I was working after all) of Caribbean rum with the Groom and his Groomsmen. Thanks lads. Seeing Jenny and Oli almost completely stack it into the gravel because of Jenny’s lack of balance was particularly funny (and charming), with all of us laughing.

Thank you to Jenny and Olly for trusting me with the wedding photography for their day. I think it goes to show that you can be traditional and still throw in something creative that displays exactly who you are as a couple.

Take a look at just a few of Jenny and Olly’s preview pictures from their day. I particularly like the lightsabre one’s at night.
